Job summary

Gundersen Health System (Emplify Health) in Spring Grove, MN is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant to join the team for day shifts, including every other weekend and holidays. The role offers on-site care, training support, and growth within a caring, family-based environment.

Eligible candidates without CNA certification can enroll in a fully funded program. Current BLS for Health Care Providers is required, with competitive pay at $22.60/hour plus potential increases for

Qualifications

• Minnesota Registered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
• If you do not have CNA certification, we will pay for it and can start you as a Nursing Assistant.
• Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning) from AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Work day shifts including every other weekend and holiday.
• Part-time schedule of 48 hours bi-weekly.
• Nurture a family-based care environment by learning about each person and serving their needs.
• The CNA is responsible for performing basic care of patients under the supervision of an RN in the acute hospital setting.
• The CNA will also transport and transfer patients within the medical complex safely and efficiently.
• Assist with data collection to facilitate delivery of delegated nursing care.
• Must be physically able to life heavy objects, as well as push, pull, reach and squat on a regular basis.
• Accurately document on each resident in an electronic medical record and be competent in basic computer use.
• Assists with basic care for patients in nutrition, elimination, comfort, mobility, and safety.
• Ensure patient safety
• Participates in CNA meetings and unit staff meetings
• Participates in quality improvement activities to continuously improve patient care and unit operations.
• Perform other job-related responsibilities as requested by the Director of Nursing.
• Must be flexible and adhere to regular and predictable attendance.
• Transports and transfers patients within the medical complex using equipment and safety precautions.
• Assists with lifting and ambulating patients with proper technique.
• Maintains environment and equipment.
• Demonstrates dependability and time management.
• Demonstrates alignment with Gundersen Health System Mission and confidentiality standards.

What You Will Do

What You Will Need
