Job summary

Care Options for Kids is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to provide one-on-one in-home care for pediatric and adult clients in Delaware. The role emphasizes compassionate personal care, accurate documentation, and coordination with RNs.

Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and daily activities while maintaining a safe home environment. Licensure, experience, and a valid Delaware CNA license are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of home care experience preferred.
• Current, valid Delaware CNA license.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care activities as per RN assignment (hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, etc.).
• Maintain a clean, safe, healthy environment and light housekeeping.
• Measure intake/output and vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, BP).
• Keep records of personal health care activities.
• Observe changes and report to RN.

Responsibilities

• Perform all personal care activities contained in a written assignment by the Registered Nurse (RN) which may include, but not be limited to, assisting the patient or client with personal hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, and physical transfer.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment, which may include light cleaning and straightening of the bathroom, straightening the sleeping and living areas, washing the patient's or client's dishes or laundry, and such tasks to maintain cleanliness and safety for the patient or client.
• Measure intake and output of fluids, and measure temperature, pulse, respiration, or blood pressure.
• Keep records of personal health care activities.
• Observe appearance and gross behavioral changes in the patient or client, reporting to the Registered Nurse (RN).

Requirements

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in home care is preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

• Current, valid Delaware CNA license
• Physical within one year
• TB Skin Test (PPD) or TB Blood Test (QF)
• Valid Driver's license
