Responsibilities

  • Locate patients and obtain accurate vital signs; triage and prepare patients for exams.
  • Understand and use the electronic medical record system; order lab, x-ray, and medical supplies as directed.
  • Notify Nurse/Physician when patient is ready for exam and relay questions about lab or x-ray needs.
  • Assist Nurses and Physicians with various forms of patient treatment and care.
  • Perform lab duties as assigned and phlebotomy procedures; sterilize and set up instruments.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the treatment area and restock rooms; follow OSHA guidelines.
