Job summary

Central States Pain Clinic in West Des Moines, IA is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support daily clinical operations and patient care in a busy outpatient setting. You will assist with preparing patients, charting vital signs, and coordinating with providers to ensure compassionate, efficient visits.

Qualifications

• Completion of a nursing assistant course or equivalent training.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment nursing assistant skills assessment.
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare office procedures.
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a professional approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs, medical histories, medications, allergies, and visit concerns.
• Prepare patients for appointments and procedures and relay relevant information to providers.
• Set up procedure supplies and assist with clinical procedures while following sterile technique.
• Collect and process specimens according to applicable safety and laboratory standards.
• Answer patient calls, triage concerns within your role, and document telephone encounters.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential patient records.
• Monitor medical supplies, assist with inventory, and help maintain equipment.
• Explain physician-provided instructions and procedure information to patients.
• Keep clinical areas clean, safe, and compliant with applicable standards.
• Coordinate with clinical staff, help onboard new team members, and transport patients or equipment when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Role
