Job summary

Cayuga Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ithaca, NY is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join a dedicated team. Pay rate up to $32.50/hr with shift differentials and a sign-on bonus is offered.

As a CNA, you will deliver direct resident care, support daily living activities, and help maintain resident dignity and quality of life. Eligible CNAs provide compassionate care in a 144-bed facility with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required.
• PCC experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with residents' nutritional and personal hygiene needs.
• Observe and report significant changes in a resident's condition.
• Support mobility, transfers, and positioning of residents.
• Maintain cleanliness and infection control in patient areas.
• Record Activities of Daily Living and assist nursing staff.
• Follow standards while safeguarding resident confidentiality.
• Promote a safe work environment and adhere to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

This position delivers direct resident care and provides superior healthcare to our residents in a manner which promotes independence, preserves dignity, & strives to improve their quality of life.

• Assist with the maintenance of resident's nutritional and personal hygiene needs
• Observe and report significant changes in a resident's condition
• Understand the psychological needs of the resident.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient areas, ensuring compliance with infection control standards.
• Provide support with mobility, transfers, and positioning of residents.
• Record Activities of Daily living
• Assist with Nursing and other Staff as needed
• Follow all professional, facility, and legal standards while maintaining resident and facility confidentiality.
• Responsible for promoting a safe work environment through proactive injury prevention practices and compliance with all safety standards.

Requirements

• Current New York State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification
• PCC experience is preferred
