Pinnacle Health and Rehab at Sanford is searching for caring and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant Medications (CNA-M) as well as Certified Nursing Assistants.
Essential Job Duties of a CNA-M
Provide compassionate care and to advocate for our residents while being respectful and empathetic of their needs.
- Administer routine oral medications following universal precautions. Administration of PRN medication only after an assessment of the resident has been made by a licensed nurse.
- Record medications and any pertinent information related to same.
- Keep medication room and cart clean, orderly, and adequately stocked at all times, and secure when not in use.
- Take and record vital signs (TPR, B/P, apical pulse when appropriate).
- All other duties as assigned/required by licensed nurse and/or supervisor.
Essential Job Duties of CNA
- Assist resident with all daily personal care including bathing, dressing, beauty care, hair care, shaving, nail trimming and dental hygiene offering privacy in a dignified manner maintaining proper universal precautions* at all times.
- Transfer residents to and from bed to chair using the proper transfer technique* i.e. 1-2 assist, use of gait belt, stand lift or hoyer lift.
- Assist at mealtime: transport residents to and from the dining area, check diet trays with diet orders, serve trays, help feed residents, and remove trays. Serve food and beverages at snack times.
- Chart accurate information on forms as instructed, treating all resident information with confidentiality.
- Report any observations of residents regarding physical and emotional condition to the licensed nurse immediately.
- Work cooperatively with co-workers and other departments, being compassionate and empathetic of co-workers needs.

Education/Experience
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant License
OR
- Successful completion of an educational program approved by the Maine State Board of Nursing and current CNA-M certificate.
