Job summary

Signature HealthCARE in Rockwood, TN, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct resident care under licensed supervision. You will assist with ADLs, orientation, and training of staff while promoting a compassionate environment and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from the state where the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under licensed staff.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work under pressure.
• Flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently with stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
• Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for residents according to policies and procedures.
• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within scope defined by state regulation and care plans.
• Change bed linens and maintain grooming supplies in resident rooms regularly.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using proper devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other information as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents and support resident rights and choices.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in duty areas and respond to call lights promptly.
• Assist in orientation and training of other staff and support special projects.

How you Will make a difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident' plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What you Need to make a Difference
