Job summary

Mt. San Antonio Gardens is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in Pomona, California.

We offer full-time and part-time schedules with morning shifts, providing direct resident care and support to maintain residents’ independence and quality of life. Responsibilities include observing residents, assisting with personal care and meals, following nursing policies, and participating in activities.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current California CNA certificate.
• Ability to work harmoniously with residents and staff.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Observe residents' physical and emotional condition and report changes to the Charge Nurse or Director of Nursing Services.
• Bath, dress and attend to residents' personal needs.
• Keep bedside stands, overbed tables, closets and clothing drawers neat and clean.
• Provide restorative care to residents.
• Adhere to nursing policies and practices and document accordingly.
• Pass meal trays, set up trays and assist residents with meals as needed.
• Respond to call lights within 3 minutes, when possible.
• Attend inservice and CNA meetings as scheduled.
• Encourage and assist residents to attend activity programs.
• Report personal needs to Social Services Coordinator (e.g., clothing).
• Maintain a safe environment for residents.
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Practice good safety habits.

Full-time/Part-time - Morning Shift

Position Summary

Provides direct resident care, assisting residents in reaching and maintaining their highest possible level of functioning, independence, and quality of life.

Responsibilities:

• Observe resident’s physical and emotional condition on a continuing basis and report any changes, problems, or concerns to the Charge Nurse or Director of Nursing Services.
• Bath, dress and attend to all personal needs of the resident.
• Maintains a neat and attractive environment for residents. Keeps bedside stands, overbed tables, closets and clothing drawers neat and clean
• Provides restorative care to the residents.
• Adhere to, document and communicate daily according to the nursing policies and practices.
• Pass meal trays, sets up trays and assist residents with meals as needed.
• Assist in responding to call lights as needed regardless of assigned residents within 3 minutes.
• Attend inservice and CNA meetings as scheduled.
• Encourage and assist residents to attend activity programs.
• Report to the Social Services Coordinator when residents have personal needs (e.g. clothing, underwear, etc.)
• Maintain a safe environment for all Resident’s.
• Completes other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Practices good safety habits.
