Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)- Full Time
Reports To: Clinical Director
Job Summary
This Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides personal care and support services to patients in their homes under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist. The aide ensures quality, safety, and continuity of care by assisting with daily activities and observing/reporting patient conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene
- Support mobility and prescribed exercises
- Help with medication self-administration
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment
- Observe and report changes in patient condition
- Accurately document care provided
Qualifications
- Valid C.N.A. license in State of Pennsylvania
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to read, follow instructions, and document care
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license - must be able to commute between 3-6 patients a day
- Demonstrates empathy, professionalism, and good hygiene
Job Limitations
CHHAs may not administer medications, take physician orders, or perform clinical procedures reserved for licensed nurses.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Lift/move up to 25 lbs
- Frequent travel to patient homes
- Possible exposure to varying home environments and conditions
- OSHA Category II: May occasionally perform tasks with exposure to bloodborne pathogens
