Job summary

Avalon Nursing and Rehab is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants to join our healthcare team in Paterson, NJ. You will support patients across settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and home care environments.

Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating).
• Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse).
• Provide basic medical care under supervision (catheter care, medication administration).
• Assist mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment following infection control protocols.
• Document patient information in EHR systems accurately and securely under HIPAA.
• Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members about needs and progress.
• Engage in ongoing training to enhance caregiving skills.

Duties of Certified Nursing Assistant CNA

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Provide basic medical care including catheter care and medication administration under supervision.
• Support patients with mobility needs using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
