Job summary

Portside Health & Rehab Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant for full-time day and night shifts at our Portsmouth, VA facility. You will provide direct resident care in a SNF setting, following individualized care plans and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Current registry or certification to work as a Nursing Assistant in the relevant state.
• High school diploma or GED required (or actively enrolled in high school).
• LTC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment and attend to residents’ physical, emotional, and social needs in a SNF setting.
• Perform direct care as assigned according to the care plan and supervisor instructions.
• Follow health, sanitary and infection control policies and facility procedures.

Education

Nursing Assistant certification

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to provide a safe environment, give emotional and social support and attend to the residents’ physical needs and comfort in a SNF setting. Performs direct care to the residents as assigned, in accordance with the resident’s care plan, and as directed by your supervisor. Performs other duties as directed by representatives of the community. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.

Education/Qualifications:

• Current registry of certification to work as a Nursing Assistant in good standing within the applicable laws of the state in which you work or otherwise possesses the requirements to work as a Nursing Assistant under the laws of that state.

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED or be actively enrolled in a high school program.

  • We can provide guidance and resources to help you earn your GED.

• Previous LTC experience preferred.

Shift & Wage:

• Full-Time Opportunity Available

• Shifts Needed: 7:00a - 7:00p and 7:00p - 7:00a

• Wage: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
