Qualifications

• Must hold valid NY CNA certificate.

• Assist with recreational programs and activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities of daily living needs (bathing, oral care, skin care, dressing, feeding, toileting, ambulation) for residents.
• Assist in maintaining residents' clothing, personal belongings and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
• Capable of lifting and transfer activities using body mechanics and lifting equipment as per care plan.
• Support recreational programs and intergenerational activities.

Job description

• The Certified Nurses Aide, under the supervision of the Head Nurse/Charge Nurse is responsible for direct person care activities to a designated group of residents.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide activities of daily living needs for an assigned group Activities include bathing, oral care, special skin care, care of hands and nails, dressing/undressing, feeding, toileting and ambulation.
• Assist in maintaining resident's clothing, personal belongings and equipment in a clean safe and orderly
• Capable of lifting and transfer activities using principles of body mechanics, using lifting equipment as per established plan of care.
• Assist with recreational programs such as exercises, picnics and inter-generational programs.

Requirements for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate in the State of New York
