Job summary

Birchwood Terrace is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support our nursing staff and residents, promoting a positive, healing environment. You will assist with daily living activities, coordinate dining services, and deliver nutritional supplements to residents.

The role requires empathy, reliability, and adherence to care plans and facility policies. You will document care and weight changes, communicate with nurses, and participate in a team that values respect and quality resident

Qualifications

• Must hold CNA certification in good standing with the state.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No disciplinary action in effect against CNA certification.
• At least one year of CNA experience in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Provides supportive services to nursing staff and residents as needed and performs duties as assigned.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living per care plans and facility procedures.
• Assists residents with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting.
• Coordinates dining room services at mealtimes, including set-up, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documenting intake.
• Delivers nutritional supplements to residents and records intake accordingly.
• Assist with weighing residents and report changes to nurse and supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Provides supportive services to nurse(s) and other staff as needed and performs duties as assigned
• Assists residents with or performs activities of daily living for residents in accordance with care plans and established policies and procedures
• Assists residents with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
• Coordinates dining room services at assigned mealtimes, including set-up and clean-up, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documentation of meal intake
• Delivers nutritional supplements to residents at assigned times and provides assistance as necessary to ensure intake. Documents intake accordingly
• Assists with weighing residents according to facility policy, and records weight in designated locations. Reports weight changes to nurse and supervisor

Qualifications
