Job summary

Avir at Nacogdoches is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. You will assist residents with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support a safe, comfortable environment for those in our care.

Qualified candidates will be listed on the Texas Nurse Aide Registry or enroll for certification within four months of hire, and must demonstrate patience, calmness under pressure, and the ability to work independently in a team-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Must be listed on the Texas Nurse Aide Registry or become certified within four months of hire.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized and remain calm under pressure.
• Patience, tact and a positive attitude with residents, families and staff.
• Comfort working with ill, disabled or upset residents and assisting with transfers.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, grooming and dressing.
• Provide toileting assistance and turn/reposition residents as needed.
• Respond promptly and courteously to call lights to assess needs.
• Assist residents with walking and transfers using a gait belt.
• Monitor vital signs, weights, and intake/output as directed.
• Provide catheter care as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.

We're seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Avir at Nacogdoches. What You'll Do:

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and more

• Answer call lights promptly and courteously to determine resident needs
• Assist residents with walking and transportation, using a gait belt for all transfers and ambulation
• Monitor vital signs, weights, and intake and output as directed
• Provide catheter care as required
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
