Job summary

Visiting Angels Tyler is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support seniors across East Texas, including Mineola and nearby towns. You’ll provide personal care, mobility assistance, and light housekeeping, while pursuing growth through dementia care training offered by our team.

Qualifications

• Two years of caregiving experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; vehicle with insurance advised.
• Commitment to serving others with empathy and respect.
• Knowledge of emergency response and basic first aid.
• Ability to perform housekeeping and light meal preparation.
• Willingness to follow health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication as directed.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility inside and outside the home.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Support routine exercises and mobility activities.
• Plan and prepare meals with client input when possible.
• Run errands or accompany clients to appointments.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Provide a pleasant, supportive companionship.
• Report unusual incidents promptly.

Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA Requirements

• 2 Years Previous Caregiving Experience
• Valid Driver's License (ID Card only is not sufficient)
• Vehicle with current Insurance
• Passion to serve others - a true caregiver
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
