Signature HealthCARE of Memphis is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct resident care in a 140-bed facility offering short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. CNAs support residents with daily activities, monitor wellbeing, and work under licensed nursing staff to maintain a compassionate environment.

Applicants must hold active CNA certification and demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Formación

• Active nursing assistant certification required in the state of operation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate within a nursing team and follow licensed staff directions.

Responsabilidades

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the plan of care.
• Change bed linens and maintain room supplies.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
• Record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other measurements.
• Turn and position residents and maintain safety.
• Support resident rights and preferences within care environment.
• Assist orientation and training of new staff as needed.
• Participate in other duties and special projects as assigned.

How you Will make a Difference:
Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What you Need to make a Difference:

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.
