The Landing of Long Cove is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our caring team in Mason, OH. You will provide daily resident care, assist with personal needs, and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment.

Responsibilities include recording vital signs, assisting with meals, and supporting care planning. CPR certification is preferred, and strong English communication and computer skills are expected.

Competenze

  • Must have current Nursing Assistant certification from state.
  • CPR certification preferred (state specifics).
  • Strong English communication and basic computer skills.

Mansioni

  • Provide personal care (grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care) to residents daily.
  • Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate devices and body mechanics.
  • Record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other data as assigned.
  • Routinely turn and reposition residents and observe for changes in condition.
  • Assist in meal preparation and dining room support.
  • Help with orientation and training of other staff and participate in care planning.

Responsibilities/Duties


  • Meet the physical and sensory requirements stated below and be able to work in the described environment.

  • Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that improve the customer experience, enhance workflow, and/or improve the work environment.

  • Provide personal care (i.e., grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care, etc.) of residents daily and as needed.

  • Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.

  • Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.

  • Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.

  • Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.

  • Observe residents carefully and report changes in condition to Charge Nurse.

  • Recognize a resident's ability to make choices and support these within the constraints of the care giving environment.

  • Provide input to the nurses for development of the plan of care.

  • Facilitate hydration to residents at regular intervals each day according to specific resident needs.

  • Prepare residents for each meal and assist as needed to dining room.

  • Keep an accurate record of food intake and output, as directed.

  • Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.

  • Assist nurse as required with providing care.

  • Be alert for proper ventilation, temperature, light and noise control.

  • Take TPR (temperature, pulse, & rate), blood pressure, weighing of residents, etc., as directed.

  • Promptly answer call lights and assist with other resident needs.

  • Utilize proper body mechanics when lifting or transporting residents.

  • Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.

  • Other special projects and duties, as assigned.


Qualifications


  • Current Nursing Assistant certification from state.

  • Current/active CPR certification, preferred. (State specific)

  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.

  • Comfortable with computer applications (i.e., Clinical software, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet).

  • Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with employees and vendors.
