Job summary

Harrodsburg Health & Rehab Center, part of Signature HealthCARE, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate care in a 112-bed setting. Join a team focused on short- and long-term rehab, with opportunities to grow within a nationwide network and to participate in therapies and resident programs.

As a CNA, you will support daily living activities, monitor residents, and contribute to a respectful, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from the state of operation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under licensed staff.
• Customer service oriented with ability to work under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Function independently with integrity in stakeholder interactions.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct resident care duties under supervision of licensed personnel.
• Provide ADLs within scope of practice per resident plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain grooming supplies in resident room.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using proper body mechanics.
• Record vitals, weights, intake/output, and food consumption.
• Turn and position residents; support rights within care environment.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned areas.
• Answer call lights promptly and assist residents.
• Assist in orientation and training of other staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

How you Will make a difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident’s plan of care.


• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.


• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.


• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.


• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.


• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.


• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.


• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.


• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.


• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What you Need to make a Difference

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from state in which the facility operates.


• Effective verbal and written communication skills.


• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
