Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Great Falls, MT is hiring CNAs for full-time positions offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Open shifts include days and nights with every other weekend off.

Earn $17-$22 per hour depending on experience as you provide nursing assistance under the supervision of licensed staff. Qualified candidates must be licensed as CNAs in Montana or be actively enrolled in a CNA program, pass a background check, and enjoy a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a nursing assistant program or licensed CNA in MT.
• Minimum of 6 months CNA experience or clinical experience during certification coursework.
• Desire to serve ill, aged and infirm.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with others.
• Must be patient, tactful, cheerful and enthusiastic with residents at varying maturity levels.
• Good general health and emotional stability.
• Able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly and emotionally upset residents.

Responsibilities

• Make resident rounds at shift start and minimally every two hours to provide quality care.
• Verify resident ID before administering care or meals.
• Ensure safety and comfort interventions are in place.
• Provide peri care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Make beds and tidy rooms; clean bedside and overbed tables.
• Assist with meals and hydration according to level of need.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or administrator.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

A nursing assistant is responsible for providing routine nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures and as directed by the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses or Administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times, within the appropriate scope of practice.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled in a school for nursing assistants or have a license as a certified nursing assistant.
• A minimum of 6 months experience as a certified nursing assistant or clinical experience while enrolled in a nursing assistant certification class.
• Must possess a sincere desire to serve the ill, aged and infirm.
• Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.
• Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.
• Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within the facility.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform all duties as assigned and in accordance with facility’s established policies and procedures, nursing care procedures and safety rules and regulations.
• Make resident rounds at the beginning of each shift and minimully every two hours thereafter to administer quality nursing care.
• Verify the identification of a resident before administering nursing care or serving food, to assure that appropriate care is being provided to the correct resident.
• Ensure interventions for care are in place to facilitate the highest safety and comfort
• Provide peri care as needed and assistance with any activities of daily living to facilitate the highest practical wellbeing for the resident
• Make beds, clean bedside and overbed tables, tidy rooms
• Assist with meals for the resident, meeting them at level of need for assistance
• Ensure hydration is maintained.
• Other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator.
