Job summary

Walter Reed Post Acute is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents on day, evening, or night shifts.

We offer full-time and part-time opportunities with daily pay, shift differentials, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, dental, 401(k) and life insurance.

Must hold an active CNA license in Virginia and BLS/CPR certification to join a dedicated team guided by Passion, Respect and Excellence.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active CNA license in the state of employment.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple residents in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated compassion, patience, and commitment to resident care.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic resident care under supervision of licensed staff.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Support mobility and daily living needs, including linen care.
• Observe and report changes in condition to nursing staff promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and promote resident dignity.
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care.

Responsibilities for CNAs:

• Provide basic resident care under the direction and supervision of licensed nursing staff in a safe, compassionate, and respectful manner.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility assistance, and changing linens.
• Provide supportive care and services to ensure residents’ physical, emotional, and daily living needs are consistently met.
• Observe residents and report changes in condition, behavior, or needs to nursing staff in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment that promotes dignity and well-being for all residents.
• Support nursing staff and the care team in delivering high-quality, resident-centered care.

Qualifications for CNAs:

• Must hold a current, active, and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of employment.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple residents in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment.
• Demonstrated compassion, patience, and commitment to providing high-quality resident care.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions accurately and consistently.
