Job summary

Mission Health: Colby Health and Rehab in Colby, KS is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our caring clinical team.

You will provide total resident care, assist with activities of daily living, document vital signs, and communicate with residents and families. Shifts are 12 hours with 3-day weekends every other weekend, and overtime is common.

Qualifications

• Completed a state approved Nurse Aide Training Program.
• Current Kansas certification/registration to practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Desire to work with the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Provide total care for residents, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Record temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight; perform ROM as needed.
• Observe and report changes in condition, attitude, appetite, and behavior; maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and colleagues.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA)

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you play a vital role in our community. Without you, we would not be able to fulfill our purpose! You provide total care for our residents, starting with carefully assisting with providing activities of daily living (ADLs) to residents (including washing, bathing, dressing, feeding, grooming, walking, transferring, skin care, toileting, oral care and catheter care). You perform care as defined by resident plan of care/CNA assignment card. You visit with residents and reposition as required.

With a close eye for detail, you record temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight. You also conduct range of motion as needed.

You take great care to observe and report any change in condition, attitude, reaction, appetite, and behavior that you find when caring for your residents. You live up to the trust of those in your care by maintaining confidentiality and following Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements as well as upholding our facility policies and procedures. Your warm and friendly demeanor makes it easy for you to provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, their families, visitors, and your colleagues.
