Ohio Living in Avon, OH is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) to provide personalized care and support to residents, uphold the philosophy of assisted living, and promote residents’ wellbeing.

You will assist with activities of daily living, observe residents, and report changes to the care team while following safety guidelines and resident rights.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in good standing on the Ohio Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry required.
• One year of experience working with seniors with memory loss preferred.
• Experience in a long-term care or other related healthcare setting preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

The Caregiver - CNA provides personalized care and service, upholds the philosophy of assisted living, and well being of the residents. Provides assistance and support with residents' activities of daily living.

Primary Responsibilities:

Resident Services

• Provides quality care and assistance to residents in accordance with the community philosophy, policies and residentrights
• Observes residents within patient care policy guidelines and immediately report any conditions requiring attention to theCare Coordinator.
• Assists residents in meeting their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
• Adheres to each resident's individual service plan, notify the clinical director and care coordinator of any changes in theresident's condition.
• Ambulates and transfers residents as needed utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Assists residents with their activities of daily living.
• Launders the residents' personal clothes, sheets, and towels according to schedule.
• Launders household items according to schedule.
• Interacts with residents to ensure that quality care and positive resident/staff relations are taking place.
• Accountable for residents care in conjunction with the Clinical Director and other disciplines within the community toensure quality care.
• Completes daily assignments and reports problems to supervisors.
• Follows safety guidelines according to community policies and procedures.
• Offers choices, maintains dignity, and promotes individuality for all residents.
• Protects and maintains resident rights.
• Carries out all duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Communications

• Attends all regular staff meetings and required training sessions.
• Effectively communicates information pertaining to the residents on a "need to know" basis to other team membersaccording to the community policies and procedures.
• Notifies your supervisor or the clinical director if you observe a change in a resident's condition.
• Accountable for compliance, excellence and delivery of residents care in adherence with organization, local, state andfederal regulations.
• Maintains a positive and professional manner toward residents, visitors, families and co-workers.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of Ohio Living.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in good standing on the Ohio Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry required.

Experience

• One year of experience working with seniors with memory loss preferred and desire to serve and care for seniors required.
• Experience in a long-term care or other related healthcare setting preferred.

Other Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Physical Job Requirements

To fulfill job requirements, employee must be able to perform key physical task for extended periods of time. When supporting, lifting or transferring residents, proper body mechanics and safety measures as prescribed by the residence must be used. In a typical eight- hour day, employee will:

• Stand/walk up to 8 hours a day
• Sit up to 2 hours a day
• Frequently support up to 70 pounds
• Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Frequently kneel, bend, and reach
