Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support registered nurses in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. You will assist with vital signs, mobility, daily living tasks, and help monitor patients to maintain safety and comfort.

As a CNA/PCT, you will work as part of a collaborative nursing team, ensuring clean, well-stocked patient areas, proper infection control, and clear communication with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start date.
• Ability to assist with daily patient needs and collaborate with RN.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection.
• Keep patient areas clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.

Job Summary and Qualifications

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (CNA) Certified Nursing Assistant in North Carolina
