LIFE is a program that serves county residents living in Armstrong, Butler, Beaver, and Lawrence Counties. It is an all-inclusive comprehensive program that helps individuals maintain their independence in their home and community through supportive services. The LIFE programs offer an array of person-centered services from medical care to adult day supports with the primary goal of allowing individuals to remain in their own home.

Responsibilities

Certified Nursing Assistant C.N.A. performs basic duties to assist participants in maintaining an environment consistent with their needs. Assists participants in mobility exercises to help them be more independent in activities and maintain their current level of functioning. Provides care across care settings (center or home) ensuring participant satisfaction and retention. Assists with activities such as walking, transfers, use of mobility devices, toileting, incontinence care, feeding, showering, transportation, and socialization. Knowledge and support of the LIFE Program’s mission and values are essential, along with teamwork and commitment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Pennsylvania State Nurse Aide Certification; must be listed on the state nurse aide registry and free of allegations.
• At least 1 year of experience with the frail or elderly.
• Dependable transportation with a valid driver’s license.
