Job summary

Methodist Specialty Care Center is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. swing shift at Layfair MSCC Campus in Flowood, MS. You will provide compassionate, resident-centered care in a long-term setting and work with a supportive interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications include an active Mississippi CNA and BLS certification. Prior long-term care experience is preferred, but compassionate, dependable candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• CNA certification current and unrestricted in Mississippi.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, direct care to residents in a long-term care setting.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding and mobility.
• Work with nurses, respiratory therapists and other health staff to meet each resident's care needs.
• Support residents' physical, emotional and psychosocial well-being through resident-centered care.
• Safely assist with transfers and mobility using ceiling lifts and other equipment.
• Observe and report changes in residents' conditions to the nursing team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans.
• Foster a safe, respectful environment for residents and families.

What You'll Do

• Provide compassionate, direct care to residents in a long-term care setting.

• Work collaboratively with nurses, respiratory therapists, and other members of the healthcare team to meet each resident's individualized care needs.
• Support residents' physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being through compassionate, resident-centered care.
• Safely assist with resident transfers and mobility using ceiling lifts and other patient-handling equipment.
• Observe and report changes in residents' conditions to the nursing team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established care plans.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for residents and their families.

Schedule

• Full-time
• 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
• 40 hours per week
• Every Other Weekend

Qualifications: Certification

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Mississippi without restrictions.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Experience

Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is preferred but not required. Candidates who are compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional resident care are encouraged to apply.
