Responsible for carrying out assigned duties that promote patient care, comfort, and safety, while maintaining a clean and supportive environment. Performs all duties in compliance with the agency’s policies, the patient’s individualized plan of care, and all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.
For every Certified Nursing Assistant, the home health agency shall have on file the person’s State of Florida certification. A copy of the screen from the Florida Department of Health website’s Certified Nursing Assistant Information showing the person’s name, address, certificate number, original issue date, expiration date, and status will meet this requirement. (Rule 59A-8.0095(3)(b), F.A.C.)
– Tasks involve routine exposure to blood, body fluids, communicable diseases or other potentially infectious materials. Must follow universal precautions, infection control procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) are required.
