Job summary

Samaritan Summit Village is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for night shift care on Floor SNF. The role requires compassion, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while ensuring resident safety.

One year of CNA experience is preferred; NYS certification or eligibility is required. Computer usage for charting is expected, with emphasis on accurate documentation and timely communication with supervisors.

Qualifications

• Understand and document basic resident observations and care.
• Able to move residents using equipment and take vital signs.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily care and activities.
• Keep resident rooms clean, beds made, and linens handled.
• Serve meals, assist with feeding, and monitor intake.
• Record care provided and observations accurately.
• Document vitals and care notes as required.

Job description

Location: Samaritan Summit Village Department: 07.6123 SSV 3RD FLOOR SNF Pay Range: $21.22 - $22.97 Care for our community, and your career.

One year or more experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant preferable.

Computer experience preferred.

Works effectively with others, possess tact, discretion and diplomacy.

Ability to work under stress and complete duties sometimes with numerous interruptions.

Must be able to communicate information to supervisor and co- workers.

Assists with tasks to care for our residents.

Maintains a resident’s room with bed making, tidy up, emptying linen bags.

Wash resident’s hands and face, assist with nail and hair care, passing trays, passing fluids, entering consumption records, assisting with activities, assisting ambulatory resident who needs queuing.

Ability to document basic resident observations.

Must be able to write legibly and be able to accurately document the type of care given.

Must be familiar with equipment used to move residents, take vital signs and document.

Ability to understand printed health related material.

BLS certification preferred.

New York State Department of Health Certification or eligible for certification as a Long Term Care Nursing Assistant.

May need to work beyond scheduled hours when necessary.

Any other associated duties as assigned.

Minimum Education Requirement – High school level of knowledge preferred.

Graduated from Certified Nursing Assistant Program.

NYS Certified.
