Job summary

Love and Loyalty Homecare is seeking a compassionate Caregiver (PCA/NA/CNA) to support children with special needs. You will provide age-appropriate care, assist with personal needs, mobility, meals, and daily activities while maintaining safety and documentation.

The role emphasizes teamwork with families and the care team, adherence to individualized plans, and ongoing learning to meet each child’s unique needs.

Qualifications

  • Current PCA, NA, or CNA certification as applicable to the position.
  • Reliable transportation to client locations.
  • Experience with children or willingness to learn and adapt to pediatric care.

Responsibilities

Caregiver (PCA/NA/CNA)

We are seeking someone who has experience working with children with special needs or someone who is genuinely willing to learn, receive training, and develop the skills necessary to provide quality care.

What You'll Do
  • Provide compassionate, attentive, and age-appropriate care to children with special needs.
  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene, as appropriate.
  • Assist with mobility and activities of daily living.
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
  • Provide companionship, emotional support, and positive engagement.
  • Participate in appropriate recreational and daily activities.
  • Provide close supervision and help maintain a safe environment.
  • Follow the child's established care plan and individualized needs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and our care team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely care documentation.
  • Follow all safety and care protocols.
  • Provide consistent, dependable care and help create a positive and supportive environment for the child.

  • Must be able to follow individualized care plans and instructions.
  • Must be able to communicate professionally with parents, guardians, and members of the care team.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy and dignity of the child and family.
  • Must be willing to follow all company policies, safety requirements, and applicable care standards.
Experience With Special Needs Is a Plus

Experience working with children who have developmental, intellectual, behavioral, physical, or other support needs is highly valued.
