Job summary

Legacy House of Spanish Fork is seeking an experienced CNA to take a leadership role within our senior living community. You will mentor CNAs, support care planning, and advocate for residents and their families.

In this role you will provide compassionate resident care, assist with activities of daily living, document observations, and lead by example to foster a positive team environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current CNA certification and state-approved CNA training.
  • 3+ years of CNA or related caregiving experience.
  • CPR certification.
  • Advanced leadership or mentoring abilities preferred.
  • Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, resident-centered care while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and toileting.
  • Assist with ambulation, mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper safety and lifting techniques.
  • Take and report vital signs and communicate changes in residents' conditions to licensed nursing staff.
  • Assist with medications and basic medical treatments and procedures as permitted by training, certification, and applicable regulations.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized resident care plans.
  • Provide observations and recommendations regarding residents' needs, preferences, behaviors, and overall well-being.
  • Serve as a leader and role model for junior CNAs by providing guidance, mentoring, coaching, and support.
  • Provide companionship, socialization, and emotional support to residents.
  • Accurately document care provided and resident observations.
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and collaborative team environment.

Caregiver / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Are you an experienced CNA who is ready to take on a leadership role and make an even greater impact on the lives of residents and your fellow team members? We are looking for a skilled, compassionate, and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to serve as a leader and role model within our senior living community.

In this role, you'll use your experience and expertise to provide exceptional resident care while mentoring other CNAs, supporting care planning, and advocating for residents and their families. This is an opportunity to lead by example while continuing to make a meaningful difference every day.

What You'll Do

What Makes You Successful
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current CNA certification and completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
  • 3+ years of CNA or related caregiving experience.
  • Advanced training or certification in specialized areas of nursing assistance preferred.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in nursing assistance and resident care.
  • Advanced understanding of nursing procedures, protocols, and safety practices.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively delegate tasks and manage priorities.
  • Ability to mentor, coach, and support less-experienced team members.
  • Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused approach to care.
Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent walking and standing, as well as regular bending, stooping, sitting, reaching, and other physical movement. Team members must be able to safely use proper body mechanics and lifting techniques to frequently lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift up to 100 pounds, and push or pull residents or equipment weighing more than 100 pounds for short durations, with assistance when appropriate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions of the position.
