Job summary

Shalom Parkside Senior Living in Richmond, VA is hiring compassionate CNAs for part-time, per diem roles in day shifts. You will provide hands-on care, support ADLs, and help residents maintain independence in a warm, home-like environment.

We offer competitive pay $18.00–$22.17/hour with shift differentials, quick onboarding, and a supportive team. Benefits include health, dental, vision, PTO, retirement, daily pay access, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Virginia.
• Experience in assisted living or senior care preferred.
• Ability to assist with ADLs and mobility safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Support independence while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Aid mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed.
• Provide meals, hydration reminders, and daily routines support.
• Engage residents in social activities and meaningful interactions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming living environment.
• Monitor changes and report to nurse or supervisor promptly.
• Respond to call systems and resident needs quickly.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and teammates.

What You'll Do:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
• Support residents in maintaining independence while ensuring safety and comfort
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed
• Provide reminders and assistance with meals, hydration, and daily routines
• Engage residents in social activities and meaningful interactions

• Monitor and report any changes in residents’ condition to the nurse or supervisor
• Respond promptly to resident needs and call systems

What We're Looking For:

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state
• Experience in assisted living or senior care preferred
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to assist with lifting, standing, bending, and walking for extended periods
