Job summary

Providence St Vincent Medical Center is seeking a CNA for the Cardiac Telemetry Unit in Portland, OR. This .9 FTE day shift role covers 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM across three 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends. The position supports admissions, discharges, and transfers under RN supervision, and emphasizes patient-centered care in a high-functioning team.

Required: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification and BLS. Preferred: 1 year CNA experience.

Qualifications

  • Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification required at hire.
  • BLS - American Heart Association required at hire.
  • Preferred: 1 year experience as a CNA.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a high functioning team.
  • Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights.
  • Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests.
  • Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference.

Description

CNA - Cardiac Telemetry Unit at Providence St Vincent Medical Center. This posting represents a .9 FTE, day shift opening (7am-7:30pm, 3, 12 hour shifts per week) with rotating weekends.

In this position you will:

The Certified Nursing Assistant assists a Registered Nurse (RN) in providing comprehensive nursing care by performing specified duties and functions under the direct supervision of the RN.

Required Qualifications:

  • Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year Experience as a CNA.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $21.16 - $32.37
