Job summary

Valleywise Health in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant in the Critical Care unit under the guidance of the Nurse Manager to deliver compassionate, age-appropriate care. The CNA collaborates with physicians, nurses and staff to ensure high quality patient support and timely documentation.

Responsibilities include hands-on patient care, monitoring vital signs, assisting with ADLs, basic procedures, reporting changes, and documenting care.

Qualifications

• Must complete Valleywise Health computer classes.
• AZ Board of Nursing licensure as CNA/LNA/LPN required.
• BLS certification from AHA preferred upon hire.
• 1 year of CNA/healthcare experience preferred.
• Bilingual abilities encouraged; English reading/writing/speaking required.

Job description

Under the guidance of the Nurse Manager or Director , the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Critical Care unit plays a vital role in delivering compassionate, skilled, and age-appropriate care to patients. Working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, the CNA ensures that every patient receives the highest level of support and attention.

In collaboration with a Registered Nurse , the CNA will assist with a variety of patient-centered tasks, including:

• Providing hands-on patient care , ensuring comfort and dignity
• Monitoring and recording vital signs to track patient progress
• Assisting with daily activities of living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
• Performing basic clinical procedures as directed
• Observing and promptly reporting any changes in a patient’s condition to the supervising Nurse or Physician
• Documenting all interactions and care provided in the patient’s medical record

Hourly Pay Rate: $16.87 - $24.88

Qualifications

Education:

• Prefera high school diploma or GED.

Experience:

• Prefers at least one (1) year of relevant nursing assistant or healthcare-related experience.

Specialized Training:

• Must successfully complete approvedValleywise Healthcomputer classes.

Certification/Licensure:

• Requires licensure through the AZ Board of Nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Requires BLS cardobtained through an approvedAmerican Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
