Covenant Living Communities and Services on Mercer Island invites you to join our faith-based team as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Provide daily direct resident care in assisted living and memory care, help with activities, dining, and light housekeeping under nurse supervision.

Requirements: HS diploma, completed state nursing assistant program, and registry listing. Compensation: $21.95-$29.22/hour, plus generous benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or the equivalent.
• Completion and passing the test for an approved Nursing Assistant program in the State.
• Listed on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.

Responsibilities

• Reports directly to the nurse manager, may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff.
• Provides direct care to residents on a daily basis.
• Assists with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
• Assists with basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignment (bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, transportation/transfer).
• Maintains resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner; light housekeeping, change linen, tidy spaces, clean bathrooms.
• Assist with resident laundry ensuring clothes are marked, clean, mended, ironed, and put away.
• Notify supervisor of clothing needs as they occur.
• Prepare residents for meals, assist with serving meals and feeding of residents.
• May be cross trained in skilled nursing if desired.

In This Role The Certified Nursing Assistant Will

• Reports directly to the nurse manager, may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff.

• Position also assists with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
• Position is service in nature, in performance of duties the resident care assistant is entrusted to assist residents with basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignment.
• This includes but is not limited to bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toilet activities, grooming, feeding, transportation/transfer, etc.
• Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner by providing light housekeeping, changing linen, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside table, shelves, closets, and cleaning bathrooms, etc.
• Assist with resident laundry assuring clothes are marked, clean and mended, ironed, and put away.
• Notify supervisor of clothing needs as they occur.
• Prepare residents for meals, assist with serving meals and feeding of residents.
• May be cross trained in skilled nursing if desired.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• High School diploma or the equivalent.
• Completion and passing the test for an approved Nursing Assistant program in the State.
• Listed on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.

Compensation Pay Range

$21.95 - $29.22 per hour

Reasonable Pay Estimate

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $21.95 - $29.22 per hour. There are numerous factors taken in consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
