Job summary

Bgcarenav is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our hospice care team. Under the supervision of an RN, you will provide personal care, comfort, and a safe environment, and observe and document patient conditions.

Requirements include being 18+, KY State Nurse Aide registration, CNA training, and the ability to read and follow instructions. A valid driver's license and own vehicle are required; empathy and hospice philosophy are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Registered as a State Nurse Aide with the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
• Completion of a recognized CNA training program.
• One year of hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care.
• Self-directed, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrates empathy for ill or frail individuals and understands hospice care needs.
• Must have a licensed, insured vehicle in good working order.

Position Summary:

The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is an essential member of the hospice care team who works under the supervisor of a Registered Nurse (RN). This role provides personal care and support services to meet the patient’s daily needs, enhance comfort, and maintain a safe environment. The CNA is also responsible for observing the patient’s condition and accurately reporting and documenting observations and the services provided.

Position Qualifications:

• At least 18 years of age and a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Currently registered as a State Nurse Aide with the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
• Completion of a recognized Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) training program.
• One year of experience in a hospital or nursing home setting, preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions, and accurately document care provided.
• Self-directed with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrates empathy for individuals who are ill, frail, or impaired, and understands the philosophy of hospice care and the needs of the terminally ill.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile in good working order, that is insured in accordance with state minimum requirements.
