Job summary

Ascend Hospice & Palliative Care MO seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Lee's Summit, MO. The role focuses on ADL support, hygiene, meal assistance, and safe patient transfer under supervision.

A State Certified CNA license is required; hospice or home health experience is preferred. Must be willing to travel and have a valid driver’s license. High school diploma or equivalent required. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Must have a State Certified CNA license.
• Experience in hospice or home health is preferred.
• No experience necessary but 1 year, preferred.
• Must be willing to travel.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides or assists in ADL activities: personal hygiene, grooming, mouth, skin care and nails.
• Assists with toileting, positioning and transfer activities, frequent turning and positioning of a bed bound resident/patient.
• Assists with prescribed exercise and ROM as taught by the Hospice Nurse.
• Performs light housekeeping in the patient unit and handles bed linens when needed.
• Feeds and assists with meals.
• Obtains temperature, pulse and respirations as supervised by the Hospice Nurse.
• Reports changes in patient condition to the Hospice Nurse and documents information as required.
• Assists or reminds patients to take medications in compliance with regulations.

Now Hiring -Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Lee's Summit, MO

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:30PM

ThisCertified Nursing Assistantwill be responsible for, but not limited to:

1. Provides or assists in ADL activities; personal hygiene, grooming, mouth, skin care and nails.


2. Provides assistance in toileting; positioning and transfer activities, frequent turning and positioning of a bed bound resident/patient.


3. Assists with the prescribed exercise and ROM activities which the resident/patient and Hospice aide have been taught by the Hospice Nurse.


4. Assists with light housekeeping of individual's personal unit or room, including changing of bed linen, if needed and patient laundry.


5. Feeds and assists with meals.


6. Obtains temperature, pulse and respirations as supervised by the Hospice Nurse.


7. Reports any changes in resident's/patient's condition to the Hospice Nurse and, if in a facility, to the facility nurse and documents the information on the Home Health Aide Certification of House form, including the date and time of the report and the person receiving the information.


8. Assists or reminds the patient to take medication, in compliance with regulations of appropriate regulatory and accrediting bodies.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent
