Job summary

Qualifications

• CNA certification in Missouri is required.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) is required, through American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Cert Nurse Assistant credentials from any recognized program are acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision of an RN or LPN.
• Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks and ADLs.
• Assist with bathing, hygiene, nutrition, hydration, toileting and mobility.
• Provide proactive family updates and anticipate needs.
• Collaborate with the health care team to ensure quality care.
• Conduct regular rounds to support safety and satisfaction.

The Shift

FT days, 3-12 hour shifts per week, 6:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., with rotating weekends

• Providing patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN.
• Performing direct and indirect patient care tasks.
• Providing assistance with activities of daily living and care such as bathing, hygiene, elimination and toileting, nutrition, feeding, hydration, ambulation and positioning.
• Anticipating the patient’s family needs in a proactive fashion.
• Individualizing and modifying care according to the patient’s needs.
• Collaborating with other health care team members to enhance the provision of patient care.
• Supporting patient safety and satisfaction by performing regular patient rounds on the nursing unit and effectively communicating with all team members while providing excellent customer service.
• CNA in State of Missouri required
