Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in Downers Grove, IL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support clients in a residential care setting. You will work closely with nurses to perform essential personal care tasks and help patients maintain dignity and independence.

Qualifications include CNA or Home Health Aide certification, 18+ years old, a valid driver's license, and able to lift up to 75 lbs. Prior home care experience or formal training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Must hold mandatory CNA or Home Health Care Aide certification as per state licensure.
• Formal home care aide training or at least 6 months of recent experience as an aide.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses by performing basic care activities related to personal needs and comfort of patients.
• Dress, groom, bathe, feed, assist in toileting, oral care, nail care, catheter care, assist patients in wheelchairs, transport, turn bedridden patients, report changes, and dispose of trash.
• Must be able to utilize proper body mechanics; lift up to 75 lbs; sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach.
• Provide simple or uncomplicated patient care and support the care team.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses by performing various basic care activities related to services essential to caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
• Dress, groom, bathe, feed, answer call lights, assist in toileting, oral care, nail care, catheter care, assist patients in wheelchairs, transport, turn bedridden patients, report patient changes, and dispose of trash.
• Must have certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant; mandatory compliance with Standards of Practice.
• Provide simple or uncomplicated patient care.
• Clean rooms and change bed linens.
• Takes and records temperature, pulse, respiration rate.
• Administer medication as directed by Physician or Nurse and document dosage and time given.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must hold mandatory certification as mandated by state licensure (CNA or Home Health Care Aide).

Salary Range

USD $20.00 – $22.00 / Hour
