Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities in Decatur, IL seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide basic resident care and assist with activities of daily living. You will help with hygiene, dressing, grooming, housekeeping, laundry and meal services while supporting the nursing team to ensure well-being and comfort.

CPR/First Aid certification is required, and familiarity with dementia care is a plus. Weekend and holiday rotation availability is expected in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or State Trained Nursing Assistant as per state regulations.
• CPR/First Aid certification maintained per state regulations.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer's disease and related memory impairments preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to work as part of a team and rotate weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic care and assist with daily living activities.
• Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
• Support housekeeping, laundry, and meal services as assigned.
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to support resident well-being.

Primrose Retirement Communities is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to be responsible for providing basic care to residents and assisting them in daily living activities. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) must possess excellent people skills and the ability to be compassionate and enjoy helping others. The CNA provides care to residents which may include personal hygiene, dressing, housekeeping, laundry, social-recreational activities, meal services and other duties and services as assigned within the community. The CNA collaborates and assists in supporting the entire nursing department, other departments, medical professionals, consultants, residents and families in an efficient and economic manner to enable each resident to attain or maintain the highest practical physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being.

What we're looking for:

• Experience in long-term care or assisted living environment is preferred.
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant or State Trained Nursing Assistant dependent upon state regulations
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification per state regulations.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer's Disease, other dementias and related memory impairments is preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to work as a team.
• Able to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
