Job summary

Emerald Nursing and Rehab Columbus is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Nursing team in Columbus, NE. The CNA will provide essential resident care, assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, and document outcomes in the electronic health record.

This is a full-time role with shifts 6a-6p or 6p-6a in a post-acute rehabilitation setting. You will work closely with licensed staff to ensure safe, high-quality care and timely reporting of any changes

Qualifications

• Nebraska CNA certification is required.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting preferred.
• Ability to assist with lifting/moving residents and daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care focusing on resident safety and comfort.
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming.
• Support mobility through transfers, positioning, and ambulation assistance.
• Take and record vital signs and document changes in residents' conditions.
• Document care in electronic health records accurately and timely.
• Report changes to nursing staff promptly.
• Assist with feeding and provide companionship to enhance quality of life.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians for cohesive care.

• Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred

• Ability to lift and move residents, as well as perform physical tasks associated with patient care

• Current CNA certification in Nebraska required
