Job Summary

Morningstar Residential Care Center, a 120-bed sub-acute skilled nursing and long-term rehabilitation center located in Oswego, NY, is seeking motivated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our dynamic team! As a CNA at Morningstar, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our residents, promoting their independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the maintenance of residents' nutritional and personal hygiene needs
• Observe and report significant changes in a resident's condition
• Understand the psychological needs of the resident
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient areas, ensuring compliance with infection control standards
• Provide support with mobility, transfers, and positioning of residents
• Assist with nursing and other staff as needed
• Follow all professional, facility, and legal standards while maintaining resident and facility confidentiality
• Responsible for promoting a safe work environment through proactive injury prevention practices and compliance with all safety standards
  

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist in admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Implement plan of care of the residents based on assessments and goals established by the interdisciplinary care team
• Ensure residents at end of life or on hospice services are kept clean, dry, and comfortable
• Report to supervisor all incidents or injuries or any observations of abuse

Requirements

• Current New York State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification
