Job summary

State-of-Missour is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate care to Missouri veterans at the Missouri Veterans Home. You will work with a dedicated team, document observations, and help Veterans with daily activities, including grooming, feeding, and mobility.

Pay ranges from $18.35 to $20.69 per hour depending on shift; benefits include paid time off, health insurance, retirement plans, and holiday pay. Overtime may be required to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
• Experience in veteran or long-term care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide veteran care and support per individualized care plans.
• Communicate and document observations to nursing staff regarding veterans' needs and preferences.
• Assist with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, and related personal care as required.
• Accurately document vitals, heights and weights.
• Assist with mobility and daily activities; transport and reposition as needed.
• Work overtime as required.

Hourly Pay:

• $18.35 - $18.69 day shift
• $20.35 - $20.69 evening and night shift
• Additional weekend shift differential available

Examples of Work

• Provide excellent Veteran care and support according to the individualized care plan.
• Communicate and document specific information to nursing staff regarding information and observations of the Veterans' needs, preferences and/or complaints voiced by Veteran/family.
• Attend to individual needs of Veterans which may include but is not limited to assistance with grooming, bathing/showering, oral hygiene, delivery and set up of food trays, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, repositioning, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communicating, skin care, or other needs in keeping with the individual's care requirements.
• Accurately perform and document vitals, heights, and weights.
• Walk and stand extensively as well as stoop, bend, and lift to provide quality care to Veterans.
• Work overtime as needed.
