Altea Healthcare in Burlington, Wisconsin is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner to be a key clinical provider in a post-acute care setting. This part-time weekend role emphasizes diagnosis, treatment, and guiding patients to better health, with no two days the same.

You’ll perform exams, order tests, manage acute and chronic conditions, prescribe medications, and collaborate with physicians and facility staff. All experience levels are welcome, with mentorship available to help you thrive.

Qualifications

• NP certification or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Current DEA registration or willingness to obtain prior to start date

• Passion for geriatrics, internal medicine, or primary care
• Strong teamwork and excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and review medical histories
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.)
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and facility staff
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and prevention
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently

What You’ll Do:

As a Certified NP, you will be a key clinical provider in a skilled nursing facility, diagnosing, treating, and guiding patients to better health. No two days are the same!

Your daily responsibilities include:

• Performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.).
• Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribing medications and creating treatment plans.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and facility staff.
• Educating patients and families on health conditions and preventive care.
• Documenting patient care accurately and efficiently.
