Job summary

The University of Chicago midwifery team seeks a 7th full-time CNM to expand coverage, including weekends, and to support low-risk pregnancies and births with exceptional care. Candidates should have vision, voice, and commitment to clinical excellence.

Qualifications include current Illinois CNM/RN/APN licensure, AMCB certification, and 2+ years CNM experience; graduate of AMCB-approved midwifery program preferred. Strong teamwork and teaching skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Current IL RN/APN and CNM license
• AMCB certification
• 2+ years of full-scope CNM experience preferred
• 3+ years RN/APN/CNM in high-acuity L&D preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate CNM-provided care for antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum patients
• Manage labor and delivery and prescribe interventions and medications
• Lead quality and safety projects on Labor and Delivery
• Coordinate care with nurses, patients, families, physicians and community resources
• Teach students and residents in CNM techniques and procedures
