Job summary

Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to provide full-scope midwifery services in inpatient and outpatient settings, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care, plus gynecologic management. Time may be split between hospital and outpatient practice, with emphasis on teamwork with physicians.

The CNM will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, oversee labor and delivery, and participate in postpartum and well-woman care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing required
• 2 years relevant experience in prenatal, intrapartum and postpartum care preferred
• BLS certification required
• Knowledge of OB/GYN procedures and patient management

Responsibilities

• Conducts complete history and physical examinations/health assessments in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Orders or performs laboratory tests and integrates data for diagnosis and plan.
• Develops and implements treatment plans and manages medications.
• Oversees labor and delivery of vaginal births.
• Conducts antepartum and intrapartum management and postpartum care.
• Responsible for management of uncomplicated/maternity cycle patients.
• Conducts gynecologic care including annual well-woman exams and contraceptive care.
• Night and/or weekend back-up call may be required
