Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury, VT, seeks a Certified Nurse Midwife to join our OBGYN and Midwifery team.

The CNM will provide full-scope midwifery care, work closely with three obstetricians, three midwives and a women's health NP, and help support physiologic birth and patient choice. The role includes 24-hour on-call coverage for midwifery caseload, deliveries in our Birth Center, and 1:1 nurse support for water labor, nitrous oxide, intrathecal or VBAC options.

Qualifications

• Nurse Midwifery Certification must be current.
• Current Vermont RN and APRN licenses or ability to obtain.
• Current Vermont DEA license or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

Obstetrics, Gynecology & Midwifery Services atNortheastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) is seeking an experienced and passionate Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our supportive and collaborative OBGYN and Midwifery team.The ideal candidate will have a team-based approach and a solution-oriented mindset, and be able to provide a full scope of midwifery duties suitable for a rural setting. The CNM will work in close collaboration with three OBGYNs, three midwives, and one women's health nurse practitioner to foster a supportive, collaborative environment.

In addition to women'shealth and family planning services, our midwives provide 24-hour on-call coverage for midwifery caseload patients. Deliveries occur in our beautiful birth center on the same floor as our Clinic. We emphasize supporting physiologic birth and patient choice to achieve excellent outcomes. Nursing staff provide 1:1 support for women who have water labor and birth, nitrous oxide, intrathecal, or VBAC options. NVRH features spacious labor and delivery rooms, a comfortable call room suite, and full-time lactation counselor support.
