Job Summary

Job Specifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required to have completed an approved nurse aide training program, passed the IL Certified Nurse Aide Exam, and be listed on the IL Nurse Aide Registry. Required to have a current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire date. Required to have a current CPI certification or ability to obtain within 180 days of hire date.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

Is knowledgeable regarding policies and procedures, PPE's, universal precautions, duties during a disaster, and product safety information, all on-line/computer based learning. The patient population must be considered when assessing job knowledge required by the employee.

ABILITIES, INTERESTS AND TEMPERAMENTS:

Verbal ability is needed to interpret and understand instructions and to communicate with other caregivers.

Numerical ability is needed to correctly tally patient's I & O.

Visual acuity is needed to assist and monitor patients.

Ability to read and write is needed for documentation on patient records.
