Job summary

The Providence Groups, LLC is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant for night shifts to provide high-quality patient care in our Virginia facility. You will support patients with daily activities, comfort, and communication with the care team.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with mobility, aiding meals, and maintaining a safe, clean environment while collaborating with nurses and staff.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Nursing Assistant certification from state OR.
• If attending CNA class and working toward certification, may not work non-certified for more than four months.
• Current/active CPR certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills are expected.

• Help patients with mobility and transfer them to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers
• Serve meals and assist patients with eating

• Document patient care and report any concerns to the nursing staff

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

Considerable physical activity:

• Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to fifty (50) or more pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job.
• Push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds to a minimum height of three (3) feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of fifty (50) feet.
• Standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
• Bending and/or stooping for more than one (1) hour at a time.
