Job summary

Hewitt Nursing & Rehabilitation in Hewitt, TX is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to provide daily living assistance, monitor vitals, and support patient mobility and nutrition. The role collaborates with nursing staff to ensure safety, comfort, and high-quality care across shifts.

The ideal candidate completes an accredited CNA program, holds state-approved licensure, and can pass background checks and immunizations.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited CNA training program.
• Valid CNA certification/licensure as required by the state/local authority.
• Ability to pass background checks and health screenings including immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting.
• Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Support mobility needs: transferring, repositioning, ambulation.
• Provide nutritional support by assisting with feeding and hydration.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment following infection control protocols.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding patient status and changes.
• Assist with basic medical procedures under RN/LPN supervision.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely in the chart system.
