Job summary

Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the night shift (7pm–7am) on a part-time schedule, with every other weekend and holiday rotation. The role includes direct and indirect patient care and requires a High School Diploma or GED and completion of an NA training program or equivalent experience.

BLS certification is required, and prior hospital or nursing home experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Successful completion of unlicensed assistive personnel curriculum or documented NA/EMT/Surgical Tech experience in past 3 years.
  • BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform direct and indirect patient care as delegated by licensed personnel.
  • Provide basic patient care: bathing, hygiene, toileting, feeding and hydration, and ambulation.
  • Complete regular patient rounds and communicate with the healthcare team to support safety and satisfaction.

The primary responsibility of the Nurse Assistant is to provide basic patient cares such as bathing and hygiene, elimination and toileting, nutrition feeding and hydration, and ambulation and positioning. The Nurse Assistant supports patient safety and patient satisfaction by performing regular patient rounds on the nursing unit and effectively communicating with all team members.
