Job summary

MUHA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide personal care and comfort to residents under the supervision of the RN/LPN. A completed approved nursing assistant course and valid SC CNA certification are required, with current BLS preferred.

The role is full-time, hourly, with a 36-hour work week on cost center CC001675 MAR - Standard Care Hall 2. The incumbent will follow department standards and contribute to a supportive long-term care environment.

Education:

Completed an approved nursing assistant course. As an exception, facility non-licensed staff who are enrolled in a nurse aide training and competency evaluation program approved by the S.C. Department of Health and Human Services and who have been working in the facility four (4) months or less are exempt from Section 603.C.

Experience:

• Clinical experience in a certified nursing assistant program.
• Desirable characteristics include at least one year of experience in a hospital, nursing home or medically related environment.
• Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards.
• Exhibits mature behaviors and able to function effective under stress.

Licenses/Certificates:

• Valid Certification for South Carolina Nurses Aide.
• Current BLS and to be maintained biannually.
• Name not listed on the SC Abuse Registry.
